It doesn’t matter if you are celebrating your 40th birthday or your 9th, we love helping people celebrate their special day with the wizard wand of their choice! We’ve been able to share our wands with so many Harry Potter enthusiasts this year and with the release of the book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts One and Two, we’ve been able to connect with more fans than ever!
Bryan had the opportunity to join the book release party at our favorite Independent Book Store: Page 158 Books for the book release party on July 30th. Page 158 Books is fantastic! They captured the spirit and energy of everyone’s excitement surrounding the new book. I don’t want to give spoilers, but reading the book was like getting to see old friends and hearing about what’s going on with their kids. I loved it and was happy to be back in that world for a little while.
The release party was a huge success and we felt like part of our community – of people in Wake Forest, NC and Harry Potter fans! We were able to raffle off two wands, connect with other HP fans, and pick up our copies of the books too. Yes, we got two books. Bryan and I read a different paces and we’ve found that unless we are reading to each other – which is wonderful and sweet, but is always relaxing and one of us falls asleep (it’s usually me) – so we get two books with the intention and purpose of giving the extra book to someone who wants/needs it or a public school library.
Recently a friend of mine reached out to me to ask about getting a wand for her daughter’s 7th birthday. She and her brother are very interested in Harry Potter and play with pencils and sticks for their wands – which is great! We love when kids pick up something and imagine it into something else! We met at the art museum and her 5 year old son, Jacob had to have one too. After much thought, he chose this awesome wand with skulls in it. Here are some live action wizard shots.
Thank you for letting us share our art and love of literature with you! Thank you for sharing your lives and pictures with us!
Read on and just keep swimming!
